Join us for WMG’s 7th Annual Tanque Verde Flow and Feast, an annual celebration of our River Run Network program. This free, family-friendly event features creek walks, a catered dinner with local flavors, and nature-based activities along the creek. The event takes place in the beautiful Tanque Verde Bosque area, and we'll be in the creekbed and riparian forest for all our activities.
Like many creeks and rivers in the Tucson region, this sensitive riparian area once flowed for most of the year. Today, we are seeing seasonal flows return to this area of the creek, and we expect to enjoy shallow, braided flow during our event.

- 5:00pm Enter the majestic Tanque Verde Bosque
- 5:10pm Go on a creek walk, see the amazing results of our restoration efforts
- 5:15pm Build a forest fairy houses from found materials along the creek
- 6:15pm Build a paper boat and join our ceremonial boat release
- 6:45pm Feast on dinner creekside
- 7:15pm Enjoy nightime activities, star gazing, and storytelling
- 8:00pm Say your goodbyes and exit Tanque Verde Bosque
55 Acres Restored!
Since 2021, WMG's River Run Network has been working to remove the invasive Arundo donax from Tanque Verde Creek. Staff and Volunteers are out working along the creek almost every Saturday September - May. Together we have removed invasive Arundo from 55 acres of the creek, as well as planting hundreds of riparian trees and shrubs in areas cleared of Arundo.
