Flow365 Virtual Monitor Training

Registration is closed for this event

Join the Flow365 Monitoring Program! WMG is searching for landowners and other community members in the Tucson area to help monitor flow in our creeks and rivers, groundwater levels in accessible wells, and the plants and animals that depend on them. At this online training, WMG staff will introduce you to our 50-year vision of flowing creeks and rivers, supported by our growing River Run Network, and explain how your involvement can help us, the City, and the County protect and restore flows across the basin. To join the volunteer program, WMG asks for a one-year commitment of regular monitoring, which includes one to four times a month during the dry season and frequent monitoring during the rainy seasons (at least once a week). Your data will help us track how many days our rivers flow each year to track progress towards our river restoration goals.

This virtual training is led by Trevor Hare, WMG's Restoration Director, and Lauren Monheim, WMG's River Run Network Program Manager. During the virtual training, you will select your location(s) for regular monitoring as well as learn how to report your data to WMG as part of our community science program.

This event is organized through the River Run Network. If you are not yet a member, we will add you to the Network when you register for this event. RRN membership is free and gives you access to exclusive creek walks, river restoration workshops, river clean-ups, and advocacy opportunities.
