River Run Network Creek Walk: Agua Caliente

Registration is closed for this event

Join WMG’s River Restoration Biologist Trevor Hare and Executive Director Lisa Shipek to explore Agua Caliente Canyon. This canyon drains over 40 square miles of the Santa Catalina Mountains, supports riparian forests, mud turtles, and leopard frogs, and is a great example of what a desert stream should look like with floodplain access and braided channels. We will be hiking up Agua Caliente Canyon into the the National Forest from the Milagrosa Trailhead. We will meet at the trailhead and hike the one mile to the canyon and start our "canyonerring" creek walk. This will be a physically distanced, mask-on event. This event is limited to ten people. This event is organized through WMG’s River Run Network. If you are not yet a member, we will add you to the Network when you register for this event. RRN membership is free and gives you access to a variety of virtual, dispersed, and physically distanced events including creek walks, restoration activities, river clean-ups, and educational workshops.
