Cool Down Tucson!!
Literacy Connects in collaboration with Watershed Management Group is inviting you to a workshop on Rain Gardens, how to build them and their cooling effects on our community. It is getting hotter and hotter and trees, shrubs and grasses can cool down temperatures in our homes, streets, buildings and in general in the good old city of Tucson. Come and experience how to plant a cool rain garden for your home and community with Joaquin Murrieta, Cultural Ecologist at Watershed Management Group.
After participating in this workshop, you can take home a small native plant kit, with a native shade tree, shrubs, and mulch, to kickstart your journey into being a part of the solution to Cool Tucson 5 degrees!
