New Hope Nueva Esperanza Church Work Day

Join WMG, Sonoran Institute, Elvira Neighborhood Association and the New Hope  for a fun and informative volunteer work day! For phase two, we will be working to transform the church grounds in order to infiltrate rain water, reduce flooding and create an urban habitat. Members of WMG's Green Living co-op can earn five co-op hours!  

 

Wear: Work clothes with closed toe shoes; hat and sunscreen. 

Drink: Bring a reusable bottle of water (drinks and snacks will be provided).

Work: Come prepared to work with dirt, plants and mulch. Work will mainly consist in shaping the basins for water infiltration, some rock work for the inlets of stormwater from the streets and some overflows, planting trees and shrubs, mulching the basins. We will provide all the tools you need including gloves. Please take as many breaks as you need and drink lots of water.
