Paid Internships/Apprenticeships with Watershed Management Group

WaterWRLD interns at Sabino CreekThe WaterWRLD program provides real-world work experience and community engagement opportunities. Interns/spprentices will work directly with WMG staff, docents, volunteers, and partners on community-based conservation and environmental justice projects. 

Participants in the WaterWRLD program will:
  • Increase understanding of community-based conservation and river restoration opportunities for the Santa Cruz Watershed, while actively engaging with urban ecology and environmental justice issues.
  • Build relationships with WMG and other local environmental professionals, working closely with one or more WMG staff mentors.
  • Develop leadership, community outreach, and environmental education skills and experience.
  • Complete 150 hours of paid work in fall and spring, averaging about 10 hours per week, at $18/hr.
  • Join weekly experiential education workshops on Friday afternoons from 3 - 5 p.m., learning alongside other interns and docents.
 
Who is Eligible?

Internship/Apprenticeship positions with WMG are open to anyone over 18 with a demonstrated commitment to and interest in sustainable living, community conservation, and helping to restore and steward our land and water ways.
