It’s that time again! Come join us for a fun-filled morning as we celebrate the delicious shade of mesquite, pomegranate, olive and other edible native and desert-adapted trees. Enjoy live music, an artisan market, and educational presentations as you explore sustainability practices in action at WMG’s Living Lab and Learning Center. And come hungry—we’ll be serving up local mesquite pancakes, fresh off the griddle!
Edible Shade is fun for the whole family. Your junior water harvesters will love exploring our Raindrop Retreat / La Casa del Chorrito playhouse. We’ll also be kicking off the day with a special release party for Poo to Peaches, our new children’s book about composting toilets. Bring the kiddos for a book reading and take home your very own copy signed by the illustrator, Kim Afinowich!
Porch Presentations Special Guests:
