River Run Network Bat Night

The River Run Network is partnering with Tucson Village Farm to host our 5th Annual family-friendly Bat Night! The Rillito River is home to many different creatures that use Tucson’s watersheds and bridges as habitat. One of these cool critters is the Brazilian Free-Tailed Bat. Just before sunset, these nocturnal mammals wake up from their siesta and take flight, flitting around our city and munching insects and pollinating many of our native plants!

Come out for an evening of fun and walk around Tucson Village Farm's Little Farm to learn all about our furry flying friends and how they interact with our riparian areas, and we will walk you to the Campbell Ave Bridge to see the bats fly out for the night.

This event is organized through the River Run Network. If you are not yet a member, we will add you to the Network when you register for this event. RRN membership is free and gives you access to exclusive creek walks, river restoration workshops, river clean-ups, and advocacy opportunities.
