Who is preparing Western communities for water shortage cuts? WMG is leading the way

Monsoon Movie Night at the Living Lab, 2022.Western communities face massive water cuts in the coming years, making WMG’s work more relevant than ever. Your donation today ensures we can scale-up our conservation solutions and watershed restoration efforts. Together, we can take water conservation to the next level, shifting people from water consumers to water stewards: recharging our aquifer, restoring our rivers, and caring for our local environment.

In the fall of 2017, WMG's Founding Member and Executive Director, Lisa Shipek was a finalist in Social Venture Partner’s Fast Pitch program, and got on stage to pitch WMG’s River Run Network, an initiative that was just one year old at that point. In her pitch, she asked: “When Arizona declares a water shortage, who is preparing Tucson for this deepening crisis?” Now with a Tier 2 water shortage declaration and large water cuts around the corner, WMG is leading the way with affordable, scalable water conservation solutions paired with watershed restoration efforts.

Watch Lisa's 4 minute pitch, and see why WMG’s work, shared back in 2017, is more relevant than ever, and why restoring rivers is critical to a sustainable water future.

Please join WMG’s efforts and make a donation to sustain this critical work. Your gift will help us reach our $115,000 year-end fundraising goal and ensure we can offer free programs and reach new audiences.
