Take Action with the River Run Network! This Earth Day, celebrate by helping keep you neighborhood streets and creeks clear of invasive species through this River Run Network distributed clean-up effort! While we can’t all get together, our goal is to get 30 River Run Network household to commit to taking action in their own yards and green spaces by identifying and removing invasive species anytime on Saturday, April 24th.
This is one of our Spring 2021 Triple Crown events through the River Run Network! When you participate, send a photo and a description of what you did to RRN@watershedmg.org, and you will win a River Run Network T-shirt! To earn the Triple Crown, you need to participate in three of our spring series events, and send us a photo and a description of each. Every household who earns the Triple Crown will get a personal invitation to join WMG on a tour of the Las Cienegas National Conservation Area in May, the area where the beaver release is planned. We will also be compiling all the photos and stories to share back with our members in upcoming newsletters.
This event is organized through the River Run Network. If you are not yet a member, we will add you to the Network when you register for this event. RRN membership is free and gives you access to exclusive creek walks, river restoration workshops, river clean-ups, and advocacy opportunities.
