Support Hydro-Local Living: Help Us Reach Our $100,000 Goal

The United Nations estimates that each person needs 50–100 liters of water per day to meet basic needs like drinking, cooking, and hygiene. In the U.S., that translates to 13-26 gallons a day. However, in Tucson—a city known for being water-conscious—the average water use per person per day still hovers around 80 gallons.

Imagine the Impact of Hydro-Local Living

Imagine the impact if we only used the water we truly need. By reducing our water use to 40 gallons a day, we can shift from being water consumers to water stewards, valuing and protecting our local resources instead of relying on the costly, energy-intensive water from the Colorado River.

How Watershed Management Group is Leading the Way

At Watershed Management Group, we're not just imagining this future—we're actively building it. Every day, we demonstrate and teach hydro-local living, showing our community how to use water wisely and sustainably. But to amplify this movement and make hydro-local living the norm, we need your support.

Your Gift Fuels Essential Programs

By making a gift to our summer fundraising campaign, you’ll help us reach our $100,000 goal and fund essential programs, including:

  • Free Educational Workshops: Empowering individuals of all ages to create rain gardens and care for native plants, fostering a deeper connection with our environment.
  • Community-Driven River Restoration: Mobilizing thousands through our River Run Network to monitor, care for, and restore our precious desert rivers.
  • Collaborative Drought Planning: Leading a regional drought planning initiative through the Santa Cruz Watershed Collaborative to create responsive actions based on local rainfall and watershed health.

Help Us Create a Livable Tucson

Our work is ambitious, but with your help, we can make Tucson a more livable city—restoring our aquifer, revitalizing our rivers, and cooling our city by five degrees. To achieve these goals, we're expanding our team with passionate innovators. Together, we’re building stronger communities and ensuring a secure water future for Tucson.
