Participate in this Saturday workshop for a day of hands-on creek restoration in the Ciénega Creek watershed just south of Tucson. Join WMG's Restoration Director, Trevor Hare, and learn how to help slow, spread, and sink the water that flows through this area. Empire Gulch is an important tributary to Ciénega Creek—a perennial creek that is being considered for the reintroduction of beavers.
During this workshop, Trevor will teach you how to address the damage that has been done to this area, and you'll be able to get your hands dirty building natural restoration structures such as one rock dams and Zuni bowls. This will be a physically distanced, mask-on event. This event is limited to 20 people.
