Groundwater levels are declining in many parts of the world as demand for water increases. For water stressed communities this can put vital resources out of reach as the cost of pumping goes up or wells go dry altogether. One solution is community-based management of groundwater where stakeholders work together to monitor and manage resources at the local level.
