Stewardship Circle & Business Sponsor Appreciation Tour

We expect to see spring wildflowers during the tour! As a special thanks to our major donors and business sponsors, we're hosting a guided, chartered bus tour just for you on Saturday, March 2 from 8:30 a.m. to noon! We'll be visiting three of our projects, and you'll learn from project staff and meet and mingle with board members, major donors, and business sponsors. You’ll see first-hand WMG’s public green infrastructure projects, river restoration work, and the collective impact of our community-based programs.

Please arrive at the Living Lab & Learning Center at 8:30 a.m. to enjoy some breakfast goodies, coffee, and mingling. We board the bus promptly at 9 a.m. to start our tour! Please park along Bellevue Street - a block north
of us - as parking in front of the Living Lab will likely not be available due to the tour bus. See the map here

Please also be sure to bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothes and shoes. We will have filtered rainwater to refill your water bottles throughout the tour!

Sites include:

• Nueva Esperanza – New Hope Church, where WMG worked with church members to turn their church campus from a flood prone zone into a water harvesting oasis in Southern Tucson.
• One of our riparian restoration projects along the Santa Cruz River, partnering with Pima County Flood Control District and the surrounding neighborhood to restore a large bare dirt lot in the floodplain into a beautified Sonoran Desert habitat.
• Ward 6 City Council office rain garden demonstration, a site that is being cared for by our Monsoon Squad volunteers.
