Eligibility Chart for Grants and Loans

Households earning 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) or less qualify for WMG's Rain Money Program which discounts the cost of getting a water harvesting desing through our Project Plan package and a 50% discount on our staff labor for the installation.

As of October 1st 2020, for families with an income equal to or less than 100% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) SERI offers a grant of up to $750 and for families between 100% and 200% FPL they offer a grant of up to $500. The loans are to help pay the cost of the system and are available to qualifying families. Loans of up to $ 2,000 payable in 18 months and if the amount is less than $ 500 the family has 12 months to pay it. If you obtain a loan, you must make a deposit (the higher amount will be applied) of $ 20.00 or 10% of its value.

All applicants must

  • Have a Tucson Water account in good standing
  • Attend a rainwater harvesting workshop
  • Live in an owner-occupied single-family dwelling
  • Have property taxes paid
  • Families that rent can participate if they have a signed letter of agreement from their landlord
