Become a WMG Volunteer Docent

Thank you for your interest in WMG's Volunteer Docent program! This application is for the 2025-2026 year. Docent training happens on Friday afternoons beginning August 2025 and continue through mid-December - as a series of workshops with our young adult interns, comprising an intergenerational peer learning program.

The WMG Volunteer Docent Program requires a commitent by docents to work in the program through December 2025 (many stay on for years). Applicants who are accepted into the program will be informed as soon as possible. Once accepted into the program, you will need to pay the program fee of $75* to confirm your spot. *scholarships available

If you are interested in volunteering but can't commit to the Docent program, please let us know. For instance, people with basic carpentry and maintenance skills, gardening and chicken care, or retail and visitor service interests are always great to have around. The Friday sessions are every week from 3:00-5:00pm, August 19th - Mid December. Saturday sessions are TBD, however you can expect about one a month.
