Do you love desert gardening and water harvesting? Watershed Management Group is seeking an experienced and passionate desert gardener to join our team caring for the Living Lab. The Living Lab is a community hub and leading demonstration site of watershed resilience in mid-town Tucson. The Living Lab features water harvesting, native habitat, food forests, passive solar energy, and monitoring systems… culminating in a campus supported entirely by rainwater!
We are seeking a volunteer who is available 5-10 hours per week to care for the Living Lab gardens and are flexible about days and times. We have a seasonal veggie garden, fruit trees, native edible and pollinator plants and rain gardens. Care may also include chickens and a desert tortoise. We would enjoy working with someone who lives close to the Living Lab, and could walk, bike, or bus to our location on Dodge near Speedway.
Please answer these following questions and our Living Lab Operations Manager will be in touch!
