We had so much fun exploring the Isabella Lee Nature Preserve, at the confluence of the Tanque Verde Creek and Agua Caliente Wash, during our 3rd Annual Flow & Feast event on Saturday, April 21. This sensitive riparian area, like many creeks and rivers in the Tucson region, once flowed for most of the year. But today, due to heavy groundwater pumping, Tanque Verde Creek only flows after major storms. The event included creek walks, live music with Carlos Arzate, food by Tumerico, beer from Borderlands Brewing Co and lots of great people and conversations that explored our connections to flowing desert creeks and the ways we - as a community - can help restore them through WMG's River Run Network!
