Clean Up Atterbury Wash with Lauren Monheim

Registration is closed for this event

Join Lauren Monheim, WMG’s River Run Network Program Manager, and other RRN members to help clean-up Atterbury Wash, a tributary to Pantano Creek in eastside Tucson with great bird habitat. We will be meeting at the Lower Lincoln Park on Escalante Rd and heading across the street to clean up the waterway. This area is adjacent to the 55-acre Atterbury-Lyman Bird and Animal Sanctuary on the edge of Lincoln Regional Park. You’ll get to explore this unique area while picking up trash to benefit wildlife and water quality.

This is a physically distant, mask-on event. This event is limited to 15 people.

This is one of our Spring 2021 Triple Crown events through the River Run Network! At this event, we will take a group photo with all of the waste we picked up and everyone who participated will win a River Run Network T-shirt! To earn the Triple Crown, you need to participate in three of our spring series events, and send us a photo and a description of each. Every household who earns the Triple Crown will get an exclusive invitation to join WMG on a tour of the Las Ciénegas National Conservation Area on Saturday May 22nd, the area where the beaver release is planned.

This event is organized through the River Run Network. If you are not yet a member, we will add you to the Network when you register for this event. RRN membership is free and gives you access to exclusive creek walks, river restoration workshops, river clean-ups, and advocacy opportunities.
