Need an idea to engage your kids and make hand washing fun? Have you heard of the tippy tap? During this time, tippy taps have made a great impact on our community, helping to stop the spread of germs and allow community members to wash their hands without touching anything but soap! It's a fun project you can do with your kids right in your backyard. WMG Cultural Ecologist, Joaquin Murrieta will guide your family in this process as well as sharing stories about how people use tippy taps in other communities across the world. At the end, you will have a hand washing station that can be used up to 30 times, with only 1 gallon of water, a great way to conserve and stay healthy! This workshop is designed for kids ages 5 and up and their parents. This will be a physically distanced, mask-on event. This event is limited to 10 people.
Parking is limited! Access to our primary parking lot is a west turn off of Dodge into the first alley north of Speedway. Please do not park along Dodge Blvd or in the large parking lot adjacent to our lot. Also please be aware of not blocking driveways along Bellevue St.
This event is part of a series of family events organized through the River Run Network. If you are not yet a member, we will add you to the Network when you register for this event. RRN membership is free and gives you access to a variety of virtual, dispersed, and physically distanced events including creek walks, restoration activities, river clean-ups, and educational workshops.
