Please fill out the form below to request to schedule a school or university class visit to the Living Lab & Learning Center. In order to cover staff and facilities costs, a fee of $10 per student is required. Some schools may qualify for financial assistance.
During their visit, students will participate in an interactive, hands-on How Low Can You Go? Workshop. They will explore ways to live in harmony with the desert, through simple gardening, composting, water harvesting and water conservation techniques. The Living Lab demonstrates hydro-local living, with the majority of our water needs met through water harvesting. Students will take home ideas they can implement at home or their school.
The How Low You Can Go? workshop will require a minimum of 90 minutes and can be up to 2.5 hours if including lunchtime. Lunches must be provided by the school or students.
