Kathy & Jeff Neff have cherished the Sonoran Desert for over 40 years. We had both noticed that humans' connectedness with nature has drastically changed over time and we found ourselves with an intense desire to reconnect ourselves with nature. In 2020, we moved into a home with an irrigated monoculture bermuda/dirt lot. The quest was to create desert habitat and we began by "planting the rain" through digging basins, planting native plants, nurturing various microclimates, adapting to the accompanying successes and failures, and always allowing Mother Nature to take the lead.
The journey has been incredibly satisfying and we are so excited to share it with you in our restored and healthier surroundings.
