Tucson Association of Realtors - Green Infrastructure Retrofit
Join Watershed Management Group and Tucson Association of Realtors as we create yet another outstanding public demonstration of water harvesting in our community! In this exciting partnership, we will retrofit the TAR headquarters with green infrastructure practices, cutting curbs and removing asphalt to install water harvesting basins and native shade trees along the street and parking lot. This project is also undertaken in support of Tucson's 10,000 Tree Campaign, announced by Mayor Rothschild earlier this month! With your support, Tucson will continue to lead the way on sustainable development and water harvesting in the Southwest.
This workshop will be led by WMG instructor and landscape architect James DeRoussel, who will provide a hands-on education in the design, permitting, construction, and maintenance of green infrastructure and passive water harvesting systems. Work will be completed over the course of one public workshop on Saturday, November 16 from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm. Advanced sign-up is required and space is limited.
