Inspiring young people to become good stewards of the environment is a vital part of WMG's mission. Last year we worked with the John Valenzuela Youth Center in South Tucson to build rain gardens and plant trees to cool the school grounds and encourage birds and pollinators to visit.
“This was a great activity because it brings families together, helps them work on projects together, care for their environment, and the beautification of their community,” said Alejandra Baltazar-Carlat of Catholic Community Services of Southern Arizona who oversaw the project.
