WMG Offering Free Rainwater Harvesting Rebate Educational Sessions

Homeowners who are Tucson Water customers can qualify for rebates on rainwater-harvesting projects, including tanks and earthworks. And Watershed Management Group is offering the free three-hour educational session required to qualify for the rebate.

About the Educational Sessions

WMG's Tucson Water Rainwater Harvesting Rebate educational sessions will include a brief tour of water-harvesting features on site, an introduction to rainwater harvesting, information about the rebates, and a design process. Please bring a map and / or drawings of your site, with measurements of any impervious surfaces (roof, patio, driveway, street, etc.) you wish to harvest from. The more information you can bring, the better, including where water flows on the property. Online mapping resources will be provided in your confirmation email.

Pre-registration is required.

Upcoming classes:

March 27th, 2014, 2-5pm. Register here.

May 22, 2014, 2-5pm. Register here.

About the Rebate

Tucson Water will rebate qualifying residential rainwater-harvesting system costs under two levels of funding, up to a maximum of $2,000. Applicants can decide which level to apply for based on the amount of rainwater they aim to capture and the type of practices they want to implement. Click here for more information and for answers to Frequently Asked Questions. One requirement of the rebate program is to attend a three-hour educational session.
