City Cuts Red Tape with Curb Cut Approval

Curb cut in a local Tucson neighborhood Curb cuts enable storm water to drain from the street in to the dirt. Advocates of curb cutting claim cutting the curb and allowing water to be absorbed in to the ground can reduce flooding and benefit plant life.

"We're seeing more frequent large storms,” said Catlow Shipek, Policy and Technical Director of Watershed Management Group. “So why not put that water to get it to work for us as a positive rather than a negative?”
