WMG Phoenix Potluck Breakfast and Home Tour

Registration is closed for this event
Near 28th St and Osborn Rd in Phoenix

Start your day with a potluck breakfast, and enjoy pancakes made with local mesquite flour along with homemade jams for the toppings. Please bring a dish to share—if you can make it local, even better.

Our hosts: Green Living Co-op members Robert and Bea have lived in their 1930’s adobe home for over 20 years. They use a double-cistern installed during a WMG water harvesting certification course to capture rainwater for seedlings and veggies, with future plans for an outdoor shower. Citrus, stone fruit trees, espalier apples, grapes and garden areas are planted throughout their ¼ acre property. Built during the Great Depression as an FSA project, their “Phoenix Homesteads Neighborhood” was created for self-sufficiency; small homes with large lots, flood irrigation, communal laundry rooms and a local dairy nearby...right in the middle of Phoenix! Potluck Breakfast starts at 9:00 a.m., and our hosts will give short tours throughout the morning.

In an effort to limit the use of disposables, please bring your own utensils and re-fillable cups if you can.
