Hands-on Water Harvesting Assessment and Design Exercise in Santa Cruz County

Registration is closed for this event

Saturday, February 4th from 8am-2pm

Location: North County Facility in Tubac

Geared more towards those who have experience in waterharvesting and who are interested in implementing these practices through work in their communities or professional fields, this workshop will take participants through the assessment and integrated design process as they develop a water harvesting design for The North County Facility in Tubac (which also houses the Tubac Public Library).  Participants are strongly encouraged to attend the water harvesting presentation on Friday, February 3rd before attending this intermediate-level training, and must pre-register for this workshop along with answering the questions listed below.  Lunch will be provided, and attendance will be limited to 14 participants to ensure quality instruction. Follow the link below to pre-register for this training, and your registration will be confirmed once we have chance to review your questionnaire.

The Tucson-based nonprofit Watershed Management Group (WMG) is excited to offer a free, two-part training opportunity this February to take your water harvesting skills to the next level.  Going beyond the work we've been doing with our Santa Cruz County community partners at the Guy Tobin Memorial Anza Trailhead to create a public water harvesting demonstration site and to train residents in basic rainwater harvesting practices, this training will give community members interested in delving deeper into waterharvesting practices the opportunity to participate in a hands-on water harvesting assessment and design exercise.  This free training is made possible by a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to help spread water harvesting practices throughout the border region.  Attendance is limited, so register today by following the links on this page.
