Docent Program 101 Meet & Greet
Care about water and ready to make an impact in your community? Then our Docent volunteer program is for you! The Watershed Management Group (WMG) Docent Program is an opportunity to share your skills and passion for a sustainable water future, and engage with diverse community members in Tucson. ¡Bienvenidas a todas las persona que hablan español!
Docents are the face of Watershed Management Group out in the community and at our Living Lab & Learning Center, sharing our mission to develop community-based solutions to ensure the long-term prosperity of people and health of the environment. As a Docent, you'll get to learn to take care of our chickens, lead kids' activities for the next generation of water stewards at Family Saturdays, spread the word about WMG events out in the community, monitor Living Lab rainwater harvesting technologies, and more.
Join us for an evening with light refreshments to learn about our Docent Program, talk with current Docents who have many different roles, and meet the WMG staff who you’d get to work with as a Docent.
You’ll also learn more about our open volunteer opportunities, the training program, and how you can be a part of our hydro-local sustainable future with WMG.
We encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to apply, especially bilingual and Latinx candidates. Applications are due by August 1st, 2023.
