Flow365 Virtual Monitoring Training

Registration is closed for this event

WMG is enlisting landowners and the interested public to help monitor flow in our creeks and rivers, groundwater levels in accessible wells, and the plants and animals that depend on them. WMG staff will introduce you to our 50-year vision of flowing creeks and rivers supported by our growing River Run Network, and explain how your involvement can help us, the City, and the County in protecting and restoring flows across the basin. To join the volunteer program, WMG asks for a one-year commitment of regular monitoring, which includes one to four times a month during the dry season and frequent monitoring during the rainy seasons (at least once a week). Your data will help us track how many days our rivers flow each year, to track progress towards our river restoration goals.

At the training, you will select your location(s) for regular monitoring as well as learn how to report your data to WMG as part of our community science program. Monitors can choose to report data through a smart phone app or through WMG's website. We will help you set up the Water Reporter app on your phone and get familiar with how to use it at the training.
