Shamrock Habitat Planting and Restoration

Registration is closed for this event

Event Description: Join WMG Project Designer Nichole Casebeer and River Biologist Trevor Hare in creating a native plant oasis to help restore the Rillito River's rich riparian ecosystem! Located along the loop trail next to the disc-golf course in the floodplain of the Rillito, this project is designed to help improve quality of life for native critters and local residents alike! Your volunteer time will help beautify and enhance community recreational amenities AND help rebuild a healthy floodplain by creating homes for native critters and improved water infiltration. This project is the third project we have implemented in partnership with Pima County's Regional Flood Control District to recharge stormwater, reclaim our floodplains, and to ultimately restore our rivers!

This event is the first of two planting parties at this site, feel free to join us for just one or dig deeper into restoration and join us for both!
