Watershed Management Group’s 3rd Annual Home-scape tour — set for Saturday, October 19th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — will demonstrate a wealth of water-harvesting and other sustainable landscape solutions at about a dozen centrally located Tucson residences and municipal sites.
On this self-guided tour, you'll see everything from low-maintenance, shade-giving rain gardens to urban homesteads, the tour will feature an integrated array of affordable green-living practices including chicken coops; solar energy and a variety of composting systems; and, of course, water-harvesting systems.
The cost for this unique event is $15 per person or $10 per person for bicycle riders, public transportation users, and those sharing a ride in a personal car. Free for children under 14.
Advance sign up is required for the tour. Participants will receive a PDF brochure sent out by email before the event, please insure that you input your email address correctly in the sign up form. The brochure will include maps and a brief description of the features at each property. You will need to register before 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18 to recieve a brochure via email.
