A video about the threat buffelgrass poses has just been released online featuring political and environmental leaders from Southern Arizona, including US Representatives Gabrielle Giffords and Raul Grijalva, Tucson Mayor Bob Walkup, Pima County Administrator Chuck Huckleberry, Jim Kiser, Carolyn Campbell, and others.  Special recognition should be given to Dr. Julio Betancourt, U.S. Geological Survey and Travis Bean, University of Arizona, who have tirelessly worked for years to raise awareness about this problem, and Dennis Dickerson of Pima Association of Governments, who organized this year’s Buffelgrass Eradication Day.
