Potluck Brunch, Home Tour, and Pledge Prizes!

Did you know that March 22 is World Water Day? To celebrate, we're inviting you to a potluck brunch and home tour! Arizona Gives Day is just around the corner, and for a pledge of $20 or more you'll be entered to win wonderful prizes, from a bunyip to seeds! Join us and bring a friend (or three) along to enjoy some pancakes made with local mesquite and homemade jam toppings. Please bring a dish to share—if you make it with local ingredients, even better.

Our hosts: Green Living Co-op member Kim and Jim have lived in their north Phoenix home for 11 years. During their first winter storm, rain inundated their acre yard, flooded the front patios, and left a puddle in the garage. Their site hosted the first Pheonix WMG Co-op workshop in 2007. Now, water-harvesting basins catch and hold the rain, and the water that threatened to flood the home supports more than 30 trees that shade the property. This led to other water-wise projects including laundry greywater use on their citrus tree, and streetside stormwater harvesting recently installed by WMG Green Living Co-op members.

Brunch starts at 10:00 a.m. with the Pledge Prizes drawn near noon. To help ease our footprint of this event, please bring your own utensils and carpool if you can. Sure to be a great way to spend World Water Day!
