Dryland Stream Restoration Technical Training

Through WMG's 2-day training in Dryland Stream Restoration, participants will gain a basic understanding of how to read and assess landscape forms and processes, design of small-scale restoration features, and hands-on implementation of those features. Emphasis will also be placed on urban wash restoration approaches and practices from backyard to larger drainage scales.

Course registrants will be reimbursed (minus a $30 admin / processing fee) on cancelation up to 30 days before the course start date. No reimbursement will be paid within 30 days of the start date of the course. All payments MUST be paid prior to the start of the course.

Day 1 -

Introduction to stream restoration

Learn to read the landscape and assess cause and effect

Hands-on site analysis 

Introduction to design principles

 

Day 2 -

Review of instream and upland restoration features

Site restoration planning 

Hands-on training of implementation of restoration techniques and practices
