Atturbury Wash Work Day
Join Tucson Audubon and Conserve to Enhance (C2E) for a work day on October 27, 2012, from 8:30 to 12:30 to restore Atturbury Wash at Lincoln Regional Park on Tucson’s east side. Tucson Audubon was awarded funds from C2E to establish a demonstration site for habitat restoration near the trailhead for the Atturbury-Lyman Bird and Animal Sanctuary.
Come out for this fun and educational work day, and maybe learn techniques you can use in your own back yard! Help us plant native species of trees and shrubs and dig rainwater harvesting basins to ensure their growth and survival.
Wear a hat, work clothes and work shoes (no sandals). Please bring a refillable water bottle, and bring gloves if you have them (we have some loaners). We will provide water, coffee, snacks and tools.
Contact C2E Coordinator Karilyn Roach at 520-396-3266 or kroach@watershedmg.org for additional information, and click the Register Now button below to sign up and get directions. We look forward to getting our hands dirty with you restoring this unique urban riparian area.
