WMG Tucson Co-op Green Infrastructure Workshop

Registration is closed for this event
Thursday, October 11 from 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Near Country Club and 22nd

Join workshop leader James DeRoussel for the sixth Tucson Co-op project at this mid town residence, and the second of our Green Infrastructure series workshops. This project will install curb cuts and water harvesting basins to collect stormwater from the street, which will be used to support native trees to beautify and shade the roadway and sidewalk. The home will be featured in the home tour on Saturday, October 20, so come on out and help us put the finishing touches to this site and get a sneak preview of a home landscape with features that include a culvert cistern, chicken coop, and swimming-pool-turned-vegetable-garden.  In addition to the tour and hands on implementation WMG instructor James DeRoussel will lead an educational discussion about Green Infrastructure principles and the permit process for harvesting water and planting in the public right-of-way.
